So even though this has not been the most productive few weeks, I still need to keep moving forward and tracking my progress (no matter how small it may be).
The good news is that I have not gained any weight, however I haven’t lost any more either, which strangely makes me feel good. As mentioned on my previous post, I’ve been in a bit of a rut lately, not eating so good and having very little motivation for working out. This week, I did a little better with the food, however I didn’t get to work out as much as I would’ve wanted to but at least I got a couple of cardio sessions before driving down to Corpus Christi to attend a friend’s wedding. I had a great time seeing some old friends and celebrating the bride and groom so of course I had a few drinks and a slice of cake (no regrets here!)
We drove back home today and I am feeling excited get back into the swing of things. I joined a group challenge at my gym and I’m looking forward to completing and I am planning to give it my all and more to try to finish in the top. After all, there’s nothing better than friendly competition to light a fire under my ass and get things moving.
I took these pictures before heading down to Corpus this past Friday. I need to try to look less awkward when taking these types of pictures but I still feel very uncomfortable posing.
I will add additional pictures here, and will continue to update my weight-loss progress here, if anyone wants to check it out.
Hopefully next month there will be more to show but I am still happy with where I am so far. This is only the beginning of this journey and I am happy that I’m able to share it and have you all be a part of it.
Thanks for reading and until next time!
Are you measuring yourself? You look smaller!
I am measuring myself yes. I have lost several inches around my belly and thighs overall but not much since last month. Maybe half an inch around waist this time.
Well, I think it shows 😀
Well done and keep it up, sometimes the scale doesn’t say all the true! You look skinnier!
Well done it’s a hard road to take, and I should know. It took me about 2 years to love 4 stones. I did exercise when I could but for me it was much more about what I ate. You’re doing good.

Thank you! Eating right is the key to success but it is so hard sometimes, which is why I have to incorporate some workouts. I don’t feel as bad having a glass of wine or two on the weekends if I’ve worked out during the week.
“Lose”
Luis, I really appreciate you following my blog! I’ve had it for two years but only this year started blogging daily, at least til I hit 100 total posts. Also walking daily, twice now due to house and dog sitting. I too struggle with my weight and if you find time to scroll through past posts you’ll see, and maybe find things to do and not do. It’s a journey and I could learn from you as well. I don’t know how people find time to write much less read, comment, like and follow others, and I’m not even employed right now! Anyway, I’m in Austin, so maybe we’ll meet some time, that might be fun. Of course I encourage you to bike. Be gentle with yourself but hard-core about putting less crap in your mouth. Moment on the lips, lifetime on the hips. Of course allow for being human (cake and wine, yum!). For me it’s a slippery slope so I’m mostly off processed grains. All for now, best of luck! A Dude Abikes
Thanks for the encouraging words. I look forward to following your journey as well.
No promises on the follow, I don’t know how people do it all, but I do hope to check in. Have to find a job so this blogging hobby / experiment may end soon or be scaled back alot.
