Awkward Progress Pictures (2nd Month)

I can’t believe how quickly these past couple of months have gone by. When I started this journey back in November it felt like an impossible task to do, considering that the holiday season was upon us. But now, the holidays have come and gone and we are now in a new year, full of new opportunities to take and obstacles to conquer.

The first month in my journey was really successful, more so than I could’ve imagined loosing about 21 lbs total. I was determined to to loose some weight before taking some time off to be with my family and friends in Puerto Rico so I wouldn’t have to listen to my mom and my grandmother telling me how fat I was and so I could fit better in my clothes. It is so hard finding clothes that fit and look nice on you when you’re over a certain (but that’s a topic to discuss another time). The holiday’s were a success, mission accomplished, now it was time to get back on track. I am very happy with my progress these past couple of weeks even though this week it’s been a little slow with the crazy weather we’ve been having here in Texas and with work keeping me super busy.

In total I lost 8 lbs since getting back from Puerto Rico, but since I gained two while over there (miraculously) I’m down 6 lbs overall since last month, which brings down my weight to 293 lbs. Now while that may not sound like a lot, I feel like I’ve lost more inches this time around which is fine by me. My stomach has gone down and I don’t feel like my shirts are going to burst when I sit down. Yesterday, I had a meeting and decided to wear my sports jacket and amazingly I was able to to button it (Yay!) FAT GUY IN A LITTLE COAT no more, or at least in progress of it being no more.

Now I just hope I get better at taking these kind of pictures as I move forward. I’m so uncomfortable still showing skin but it is the best way of seeing the changes.

    1. Thank you! It’s been crazy these past couple of weeks with all the weather and my work schedule to I haven’t been able to do as much so I’m very happy with progress. Looking forward to reading about your journey as well.

    1. Thanks Amanda. I’ve really been trying to make better choices with food and working out more regularly and it’s really made difference. I like food to much to go on a full on diet so I still eat pretty much everything but in moderation.
